Meet our new Ambassador, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau
The Menopause Foundation of Canada (MFC) is excited to welcome its first-ever Ambassador, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau.
As a best-selling author, global wellness and mental health thought-leader, speaker, and champion of gender equality and women’s rights, Sophie brings her commitment to authentic connection to amplify MFC’s goals.
“We are delighted to have Sophie lend her authentic voice and wisdom to further the public conversation about menopause,” said Janet Ko, MFC president and co-founder. “As menopause priorities shift from awareness to advocacy and action, having public leaders like Sophie share their perspective empowers more women to seek and get the care and support they need to thrive in the prime of their lives.”
“Menopause is not a pause, a simple change in our hormones or women fading; it is a passage from who we were expected to be into who we finally know ourselves to be,” said Grégoire Trudeau. “I am proud to be an MFC Ambassador, because it’s time to change how the world honours women by offering them solid knowledge, quality care, and resources they can trust. Menopause is women’s health and women’s health is everyone’s health.”
You can find Sophie on Facebook and Instagram, and can sign up for her free newsletter and purchase her book, Closer Together, here.
Along with eliminating stigma and providing evidence-based information and resources, the Menopause Foundation of Canada is committed to advocating for equitable menopause care, better outcomes in women’s health, and a stronger economy through menopause inclusive workplace.
