FAQs: Menopause Works Here™ Campaign
Signing on is simple and free: just visit this link and complete the form. Once you submit it, you will receive a welcome email from mfc@menopausefoundationcanada.ca . Please be sure to add this email address to your safe senders list.
It means your organization is committed to a menopause inclusive workplace. The campaign is not prescriptive; the specific actions your organization takes are up to you. Looking for guidance and inspiration? Our Menopause Inclusive Playbook is a great place to start!
The campaign is not an accreditation, which would involve audits and reviews. Instead, it is a non-prescriptive opportunity for alignment to the commitment to menopause inclusivity.
The individual(s) taking the lead on working to create a menopause inclusive workplace. Typically, this is someone from Human Resources. For smaller organizations, it may be the owner or manager.
Yes, because only the person/persons who sign on will get ongoing updates and access to the participant portal. So if there are a few people in your organization working on this effort, each of them should sign up. It is not, however, intended for a general sign-up for all employees—only those who need to access the participant portal and receive ongoing updates.
There is no cost to sign on to the campaign, and our resources are also free for download. We do offer employer speaking engagements with Menopause Foundation of Canada leaders and Medical Advisory Board members, which have a speaking fee. Read more here.
When you sign on, you will receive a welcome email, including a link to our Members-Only Portal; please bookmark this portal so you can visit often. You will also receive access to the Menopause Works Here™ digital badge (restrictions apply), and will be on the list to receive MFC workplace-related communications, resources, and news.
The commitment to menopause inclusivity is an ideal internal communications opportunity. Consider announcing that your organization has signed on to the campaign; for example, some employers have had success with a kick-off event featuring a talk by a Menopause Foundation of Canada leader.
No. The form to join includes an option to indicate whether you are interested in having your logo appear, and this would always be discussed and agreed to with the Foundation and you before posting. Please reach out to mfc@menopausefoundationcanada.ca if this is of interest.
